A lawyer for an Archiocese in Brazil said they consider it murder, that a judge granted a NINE YEAR OLD GIRL an abortion because she was raped by her stepfather and her uterus is too small to contain one fetus. She is pregnant with twins. Attempting to carry those babies to term would kill her.

And yet another instance of taking OLD TESTAMENT (as in not valid any more you stupid fucks!) laws out of context and using them for their own misogynistic and sadistic purposes. I'm really pretty sure no "higher being" would actually think that it's a good idea to force her to try to carry to term.

I love how it's OK to them for the girl to die trying to carry the babies to term. It also speaks to a serious lack of understanding of biology - it's not a matter of not being able to deliver them - she can't carry them to term - she's 80-freaking-pounds!
